CEO’s Love — Episode 3: Beyond the Script

On time, Shrisha Shanmugam reached the venue, wearing a peacock-green saree. With confidence, she entered the shooting area.

Both Shakthi and Shrisha noticed each other.

They greeted one another with a simple “Good morning” and shook hands.

The cameraman prepared for recording and announced,

“1… 2… 3… Start.”

Shrisha smiled and began,

“Hello, Shakthi Manoharan, First Company’s CEO. Welcome to my show, Life’s Talk.”

Shakthi replied calmly,

“I’m very excited to answer your questions.”

Shrisha said,

“I know. But today’s questions won’t be related to your professional field. They will be about your life.”

“Of course,” Shakthi responded. “That’s why I agreed to this interview.”

Shrisha continued,

“Shakthi, may I begin by asking about how people generally perceive you?”

“Yeah, sure.”

“Can you briefly tell us about your early life?” she asked.

“But we don’t want the same answers you’ve already given in various interviews.”

“Yeah, sure,” Shakthi replied.

“I’m Shakthi. Today, I may be a CEO. But yesterday, I was a boy born in Thiruvaiyaru, Thanjavur district. Thanjavur is not just my native place—it means much more to my heart. My parents were farmers who worked for daily wages. That’s my brief childhood.”

Shrisha gently interrupted,

“Wait.”

Shakthi paused.

“Shakthi, this sounds like a scripted answer—something people have already heard,” she said honestly.

Shrisha continued,

“I don’t want people to feel my show is scripted.”

“If you’re comfortable,” she added,

“you can share something real—your childhood days, college life, or even your love story.”

Shakthi took a moment and said,

“Okay, Shrisha. So you expect my answers to come from the emotions I experienced during that journey.”

“Yes,” she replied.

“That’s why I insisted on my condition.”

Shakthi smiled slightly.

“Really a tough condition,” he said, “but interesting.”
