The Story Continues...

Lilly got her favorite Bio/Maths group in school, but she felt sad because her friend Ashwanth couldn’t get into the class. After school, she went straight to his house.

But Ashwanth was already drowning in sadness. Failing the exam, people’s criticism—it was all too much for him. He couldn’t handle it.

He decided to take sleeping pills. But he left his door open, thinking, If I vomit, I can just say it was food poisoning.

Just then, Lilly came in. She started talking positive words, trying to cheer him up.

But Ashwanth just looked at her with tired eyes.

"Lilly, I think our friendship is going to end," he said weakly.

She frowned. "Why are you saying this?"

He forced a sad smile. "Because you got good marks and a good department. But me? I’m just a 10th-fail fool. Why would you stay friends with me?"

Lilly’s face burned with anger. She slapped him hard.

"I know you're foolish! That’s why you are my friend!"

Ashwanth’s body started to lose strength. His eyes were closing.

Lilly shook him. "Idiot! Stop acting dead. I know you always do stupid things. Don’t play with me. Get up! Otherwise, I’ll throw water on your head!"

But something felt wrong. He wasn’t responding.

She ran outside, called his family, and called an ambulance.

His mom and dad panicked when they saw him. His mom started to cry loudly.

"Ashwanth! Please wake up, my son! After you recover, we will never force you to study!"

Luckily, he was saved.

After he gained consciousness, his parents sat next to him, crying.

"Why, my son? Why did you do this? We will never force you again!"

Ashwanth looked around. "Where is Lilly?"

His parents sighed. "She’s angry with you. After recovery, go talk to her."

Two Months Later…

Lilly had disappeared.

Ashwanth searched for her. She wasn’t at school. She had blocked his number.

Then one day, Lilly’s birthday came.

That day, he finally saw her again.

Her family had invited everyone from the street to her house. Even Ashwanth.

He entered the house, searching for her. When Lilly saw him, she showed no emotion. She ignored him completely.

Then, a tall boy, Rakesh, walked up to Lilly. He gave her a gift.

Lilly smiled. "Thank you, my dear friend," she said.

Those words hit Ashwanth like a knife.

When she cut the cake, she gave it to everyone—except Ashwanth.

He felt hurt but still gave her a small gift.

Later, when Lilly was alone, she took his gift. She looked at it for a moment...

Then threw it on the ground in front of him.

Ashwanth just stood there, looking at the broken gift.

That moment broke something inside him. He walked away silently.

The next day, Lilly opened the gift.

Inside, she found a letter. She started reading.

"Sorry, my friend. I know I made a mistake. My decision was stupid. But I can’t forget our memories. I can’t handle you ignoring me."

"So, I’m leaving your life forever. I passed my failed exam. I’m going abroad to study with my uncle’s help. But every time I see you, I remember everything—the day we played on the seesaw, the day I won my first speech competition because of your support. It hurts too much. So, I have to go."

Lilly’s hands started shaking.

Tears fell from her eyes.

She whispered, "Ashwanth..."

Will you believe friendship will continue or ?
